欧盟部队举行军事演习

 　　SARAJEVO, April 14 (Xinhua) -- EUFOR is to hold military exercise in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) between April 15 and April 28, local media reported on Sunday.

　　The exercise, codenamed "quick response 2013," is aimed to demonstrate the ability of EUFOR to successfully activate¹, quickly deploy² and integrate companies held at readiness within its Intermediate Reserves Forces.

　　Air Forces of BiH will be positively³ engaged to further enhance their professional training and international interoperability.

　　The exercise will involve the deployment⁴ of two light infantry⁵ companies, with one from Britain and the other from Hungary.

　　On Monday, an Antonov transport plane will arrive at Sarajevo airport, bringing vehicles and cargo⁶ from the British troops participating in the exercise.

　　EUFOR, or the European Union Force Althea, is an international military deployment in Bosnia that replaced NATO's SFOR in 2004, whose mandate⁷ is to oversee⁸ the implementation⁹ of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
