谈判无果 德国汉莎航空飞行员酝酿连续罢工

 　　Lufthansa has canceled 876 flights scheduled for last Wednesday because of a planned strike by the German airline's pilots.

　　日前，德国汉莎航空公司因飞行员计划罢工而取消了原定上周三起降的876趟航班。

　　The airline said that roughly 100,000 passengers would be affected¹ by the cancellations, which include more than 50 intercontinental flights.

　　汉莎称，航班取消将对约10万名乘客造成影响。取消的航班中包括50余趟洲际航班。

　　That walkout started at Duessseldorf and Hamburg airports at 5 am local time and is due to last until 8 pm.

　　Pay talks between Lufthansa and the Vereinigung Cockpit broke down this month, and the pilots have rejected calls by Lufthansa for the dispute to be taken to a mediator².

　　汉莎航空公司和飞行员工会之间的工资谈判于本月宣告破裂，而飞行员们也拒绝了汉莎调停争端的呼吁。

　　Lufthansa's pilots say they have gone without a pay rise for more than five years. They are asking for an average annual increase of 3.7%.

　　汉莎的飞行员称，他们已超过五年没有涨薪了，他们要求年薪平均每年要增长3.7%。

　　They also claim that top company executives have seen their pay rise by as much as 30% in recent years, while board members have received even bigger hikes.

　　Lufthansa said it offered to enter arbitration³ with the union in an attempt to resolve the dispute.
