　　Computers are becoming a part of oureveryday life. In fact, they are almost every-where. In many countries, more and morecompanies are replacing people with comput-ers. Telephone companies are no exception¹.
When making a long-distance call on a payphone in America, you will no longer talk toan operator². Instead, a computer will answer.
It will tell you what to do. No wonder peoplesay that computers are taking over the world.
