 Figures show US economy grew by its fastest pace in over 18 months during the final quarter of last year.The nation's gross¹ domestic² product grew at annual 2.7% between October and December.It was boost³ by a pick up in consumer spending but the number came well under the 3.2% forecast.

Official data shows Spain's unemployment rate grew to almost 27% at the end of the 2011,the highest jobless rate in the developed world,more than 5 million are now out of job,the largest number in more than 15 years.The figures also show the use of the unemployment rate climbed to more than 51% in the same period.Spain is just one of several countries,trying to deal with the fall out from Europe's ongoing⁴ debt crisis⁵.

In the US,those weaker than expected GDP figures have wide on the Dow Jones.It's 15 lower at the end of the trade drawer's closure.

In Asia,the Nikkei ended the day slightly in the red.closing down 8 points down but Hengshen had better fortunes finishing up 63 points higher.

And back home,the ALL-ORDS has finished the last section of the week,closed to half percent higher.

 

 

And on the currency market,the Aussie dollar is buying around 106.3 US cents
