Julian Assange has been dramatically arrested and bundled into court after Ecuador terminated his political asylum¹, after seven years. The Wikileaks founder² has been found guilty in a London court of skipping bail³. American prosecutors⁴ have charged Mr Assange with conspiracy⁵. And the US Justice Department says if Mr Assange is found guilty, he faces a maximum five years in jail. Austrlia's foreign minister, Marise Payne says the 47-year old will continue to receive consular⁶ support from the federal government.

Court documents have revealed that actor Geoffrey Rush is seeking more than 25-million dollars in damages following his defamation⁹ win yesterday. Initial damages of 850-thousand dollars were awarded, but an amount for lost income will be decided¹¹ at a later date.
