Today show is dedicated1 to remember the events of September 11th 2001 and honourring those lost.Yesterday a mark ten years since the 911 attacks when terrorists2 targetting the United States killed nearly three thousand people.In Friday show we walked to through the events of that day and you can find the video for that on CNN student news.com.Today we look how the nations spend the 10th anniversary of the attacks.Commemorations were held in the site the attcks in New York,Washington and Pennsovinia.Ceremony took place under extremely heavy security because of the credible3 but still unconfirmed threat of a possible new terro strike.Let us begin now in New York where the world trade center northern-south towers collapsed4 in 2001.It happenned out to they were hit by two hijacked5 planes.it was where the biggest loss of life took place that day.On Sunday,thousands gatherred where the tower once stood and area now known as ground Zero.Those present pause for a moment of silent at 6:46 AM-exact time the first plane hits.It was the first of six moments of silent marking key moments of 911.
President obama and former president Joge W Bush whom you saw right there attended the ceremony and they read passages from the Bible.Family members of those who died on 911 read aloud the names of each victim and share stories about their love ones.
My father worked on the 88 floor at the World Trade Center.I was 13 when I stood here in 2003 and read a poem about how much I want to bake on your cry.Since then I stopped crying but evident not stop missing my dad.he was awesome6.My brother Auson just turned to when he passed.I have tried him all of things my father taught me.How to catch baseball.How to ride bike and to work hard in school.My dad always said how important it was.
Observances will also held around the world to remember those lost including hundreds from other countries.And in New Yorka memorial openned as a permanent tribute7 to the events of 911.The memorial took several years to plan and it had many revisions along the way.Nearby a tower even taller than the fallen towers is under construction to help those remeber Annerson Cooper looks back the World Trade Center history.It is significant and the new tower is rising.
