 there is a long legacy¹ of presential  puches like thr we have just mentioned. but the human occupancy of 1600 Pennsylvania avenu had always limited themselves to dogs. we are talking about lions , tigers and  bears or mine also horses, elephants, and hippoes, you imagine bringing the pet hippo into the white house, and you imagine bringing one anywhere. we are going to let time of the history of presential pets.
