Today`s show starts in eastern Asia, where a recent speech by U.S. President Donald Trump<sup>1</sup> was closely watched around the world. Speaking in front of South Korea`s national assembly, its lawmaking body, President Trump addressed the international standoff over North Korea`s nuclear program.

今天的节目我们从东亚开始，特朗普近期在中东发表演讲，引起了世界的密切关注。在韩国国会，韩国立法机构面前，特朗普总统谈到了朝鲜核项目引发的国际僵局。

The day before, he`d said that it, quote, makes sense for North Korea to come to the table and to make a deal that`s good for its people and others worldwide. But in his address Wednesday, the American leader warned the north whose border is 35 miles away from where he was standing², not to underestimate or try the U.S.

在演讲前一天，特朗普总统讲到，“和平谈判，达成协议，对朝鲜人民和世界人民都是有益的。”但是在周三的演讲中，这位美国的领导人警告距离自己仅有35英尺远的朝鲜，不要低估我们，试探美国。
