And butterfly kisses at night.

Sweet sixteen today,
She's looking like her momma,
A little more everyday.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup²,

Trying her wings out in a great big world.
But I remember...

蝴蝶之吻

有两件事情我可以肯定。
她是上天的恩赐，
是父亲的小宝贝。
夜晚，我曲膝在她床前，

而最快乐的，莫过于--

睡前祷告后的蝴蝶之吻，

但我已经尽了力。”

今天是小宝贝的十六岁生日，
她越来越像她妈妈了，
每天都像她多一些。
一半是女人，一半还是个女孩子。
用上了香水，开始化妆，
不再是丝带与卷发。
在广阔天地里振翅欲飞。
但我仍记得--

睡前祷告后的蝴蝶之吻，
朵朵小白花点缀在她发间。
“你知道我有多爱你，爸爸，
要是你不介意的话，这次我想只亲亲你的脸。”
尽管我做了不少错事，
但我肯定也做对了一些。
才配每天早上得到她的爱，
和每天晚上的蝴蝶之吻。

所有宝贵时光，
如清风般吹散。
我所珍爱的蝴蝶，
即将展翅飞翔。

今天她将要换上另外一个姓。
她将要许下一个诺言，
而我将把她交给另外一个人。
站在新娘的房间，我呆呆地望着她，
她问我在想什么，
我说: “我也不知道，
只是觉得我要失去我的宝贝女儿了。”
接着她俯身向我，然后--

给了我一个蝴蝶之吻，
她的妈妈就在旁边，
朵朵小白花点缀在她发间。
“时间到了，爸爸，
陪我踏上红地毯吧。”
“爸爸，我的婚纱漂亮吗？”
--“爸爸，别哭。”
哦，尽管我做了不少错事，
但我肯定也做对了一些。
才配在每天早上得到她的爱，
还有那蝴蝶之吻。
我不能再向主要求更多了，
这就是爱，
我知道我必须让她走，
但我会永远记得，
早上的每一个拥抱，
还有那蝴蝶之吻……
