This is a toxic¹ belief and a delusion², yet sadly agreat proportion of unhappy people fall prey³ to this, which is largely why theyare unhappy. Happy people face the world with a healthy dose of curiosity andnonchalance. They are interested in others, yet not so dependent on being lovedin a specific way. Making friends takes time, that's all.
