 Now to the surprise, the announcement from Celine Dion, the super star singer canceling shows, spent time with her husband who has been ill, and also spent time with her family, focus on her own health. ABC’s *Chan has the story.   

 

She is the unstoppable vocal¹ power house, hitting every high note as she * as her * *parlor show, simply named Celine.  

 

But this morning super start *Celine Dion putting a brake on her concert residency until further notice, and cancelling a plan of a tour in Asia this fall, taking time off to focus on her family’s health and well-being². The singer releases a statement to ABC news, saying, quoted, I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband’s healing. And to do so, it’s important for me to dedicate³ this time to him, and to our children. 

 

Celine’s husband is nearly twenty years, Rene Angelil is once again battling throat cancer. And stepped down * his managing June

 

Rene is not only the means of the world to Celine personally, but also professionally, he is been with her since the very beginning. And they really have gone this journey throughout their entire lives together. 

 

And the mother of 3, is fighting her own throat illness, that inflated⁴ her vocal muscles. She hasn’t been able to perform since the end of July. 

 

I sat down with Dion in 2012 during her 2nd *on the strip. The star is candid⁵ about balancing about career and motherhood.

 

I still love what I do. But I’m not talking about any price. I’m not talking about money. I’m talking about what my family needs.

 

Right.

 

I want to be there for my children.
