From the ocean to the tundra¹,

the north of our planet is now completely frozen.

In the far south, autumn can be a particularly savage²

This ocean generates some of the largest waves on the planet,

they gain size and power

uninterrupted by land for 12,000 miles.

As they buffet⁴ South Georgia, they also bring food.

A prize worth braving the surf for.

Giant petrels are the vultures of Antarctica,

大海燕就是南极洲的秃鹰

and are always the first to the spoils.
