第一句：What would¹ you like, sir? Chicken or beef²?

您想吃什么，先生？鸡肉还是牛肉？

A: Please pull³ your table down. It's lunch time.

午餐时间到了，请拉开桌子。

B: All right.

好的。

A: What would you like, sir? Chicken or beef?

你想吃什么，先生？鸡肉还是牛肉？

B: I'd like the chicken.

我想吃鸡肉。

第二句：Would you like a cup of tea or coffee?

你要喝茶或是喝咖啡吗？

A: Would you like a cup of tea or coffee?

你要喝茶或是喝咖啡吗？

B: No. I'd rather⁴ have a glasss of juice, please.

不，请给我一杯果汁。你们都有什么样的？

A: We have a selection⁵ of orange, apple, grapefruit and lemonade.

我们有橙汁、苹果汁、西柚汁和柠檬汁。

B: Orange juice, please.

请给我一杯橙汁。

 

其他表达法：

一般飞机上都是免费提供餐饮的。当用餐完毕之后可以说：I'm finished⁶. 我吃完了。

或者说：I'm through. Please take these things away. 我吃完了，请端走这些东西。

其他表达法还有：Can you give me some water, please? 能给我点水吗？

参考例句：

• Why would you say that?为什么你会这么说？
• Would you please help me?你能帮帮我吗？

2 beef   

n.牛肉；v.抱怨，诉苦

参考例句：

• Please give me some beef.请给我一些牛肉。
• Mum doesn't like beef.妈妈不喜欢吃牛肉。

3 pull   

n.拉，拖，拉绳；vi.拔，拉，拖；vt.拉

参考例句：

• Pull your chair up to the table.把你的椅子挪近桌子。
• Please pull the door to when you go out.你出去请把门带上。

4 rather   

adv.宁愿，宁可；相当

参考例句：

• I would rather go out tonight,if you don't mind. 如果你不介意的话，我宁愿今晚出去。
• This book is rather too easy for this boy.这本书对于这个孩子来说太简单。

5 selection   

n.选择，挑选，精选品，可选择的东西

参考例句：

• We left the selection of the team to the captain.我们把挑选队员的工作交给了队长。
• The shop has a fine selection of cheeses.那家商店有各种精美乳酪可供选购。

6 finished   

adj.完成的，精湛的；v.动词finish的过去式和过去分词

参考例句：

• We finished up everything there was on the table. 我们把桌上的东西全吃完了。
• We can certainly have the job finished on time.我们肯定能按时完成任务。
