Duncan, a fifth-grade boy, found that Mr.Rutledge was right. 邓肯，一个五年级的男孩，发现拉特里奇先生是对的。

It was the fifteenth of March, and Duncan was exactly eleven years old. 那是3月15日，邓肯正好11岁。

His parents had given him a tool chest for a birthday present, and as he walked proudly out of the back door into the morning sunshine, he was wondering what he should make first with the new tools. 他的父母给了他一个工具箱作为生日礼物，当他自豪地走出后门走向清晨的阳光时，他在想他应该先用这些新工具做什么。
