come to a sticky end
小编讲解：
sticky是形容词，意思是“难对付的，困难的”, come to的意思是“到了”，end的意思是“结尾，结局”。所以该短语的意思是“到了一个棘手的结局”，即指：到了一个难以收场的局面。和中文中的“死于非命”意思相近。
