Pick something/someone out 挑出选出某东西/某人出来

例句：I need to pick out a replacement³ before I go on vacation. 我去度假之前要的选出一个代替者。

通常see something coming是表达“提前预测到一件事”，from a mile away可以理解成“离老远”
