 Bank of American has been convicted of fraud, as NPR’s Dan B reports, a Federal jury in NY says BofA lied about the quality of mortgages as it passed loans to finical firms Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Its one of few fraud cases from the financial crisis to go to trial. The sue stems from something nicked name the Hassle before it was brought by bank of America. The mortgage lender Countrywide created the H program in the month leading up to the housing collapse¹. The company sped up its loan approval process selling hasty and x loans to government backed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. A whistleblower said the trail that speed x quality standards after a four-week trial, that jury found the bank liable for one x fraud. Former Countrywide executive NBR was also found liable. President Obama hosted Pakistani Prime Minister AS at the White House today in an effort to improve relationship that has been intense even since US raided in Pakistan killed A Ben Laden².
