The NATO summit in Wales has concluded with new results to tackle the threats from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. NPR's Ari Shapiro reports the US expects a global plan for attack to take shape in next few weeks. 
During the summit, president Obama held one-on-one meetings with leaders of Turkey and Jordan. Both countries will be key to any global strategy on dealing2 with the Islamic State. 
"There was unanimity3 over the last two days that ISIL poses a significant threat to NATO members. And there was a recognition that we have to take action."
The specific details about the action are still up in air, though. Secretary of State John Kerry will visit the region soon. The US wants world leaders to agree on a strategy by the time of United Nations General Assembly meeting New York later in this month. Ari Shapiro, NPR News, Cardiff, Wales. 
 
An American doctor infected with Ebola is seriously ill, but in stable condition in the Omaha Hospital. From Number Station KIOS in Omaha, Katy Napshuber has more. 
Dr. Rick Sacra arrived at the Nebraska Medical Center early this morning. He's been treated in a hospital' bio-containment unit, the largest of the nation. Sacra tested positive Monday for Ebola while working at a hospital in Liberia. Dr. Mark Rupp of the Nebraska Medical Center says they're expected to be treating Sacra for awhile. 
"We would anticipate a course similar to what our colleagues saw at Emory that we have known for a long haul this might be a two or three weeks period of time."
Hospital officials say there is minimum risk to public and doctors are exploring treatment options, and by the case used to treat to anther American with Ebola is no longer available. For NPR News, I'm Katy Napshuber in Omaha.  
 
US economy generated fewer new jobs than economists4 had expected last month, and the previous month's numbers were dial back slightly. Whereas the White House notes the economy has still enjoyed 54 straight months employment gains. Mark Hamrick, at Washington bureau chief at Bankrate.com, thinks the latest numbers may be just a bump in the road. 
"We know for many years now that it's been in recovery that's occasionally been frustrating5. It's often been a two steps forward and one step back. Kinds of affair, and it shouldn't surprises."
Labor6 department reported today 142,000 were added to payroll7 on August, fewer than 200,000 plus economists have been projecting. 
 
Chief Finance Officer at the city of Detroit says he did not believe raising taxes is the way to fix bankrupted city's problems. John Hill continues to testify the trial that would determine whether the city emerges from the largest public bankruptcy8 in US history. That trail is expected to last at least 4 weeks. Hill says Detroit residents and property owners are already highly taxed. 
 
On Wall Street in upended week. The Dow was up 67 points, at 17,137; the NASDAQ gained 20, closed to 4,582; the S&P500 rose to a new record high, up 10 points to 2,007.

Apple says it plans to add additional security measure to help users after incidents of some celebrities9 had nuke photos of themselves hacked10, then placed on the world wide web. Apple CEO Tim Cook told the Wall Street Journal today Apple will use E-mail and push notification, so that users know someone try to restore Icloud data on a new device, change a compass order or attempt to initial logon to an account with new device. Probably say there no notification while  restoring Icloud data. 
 
UN's nuclear agency's latest report on Iran's nuclear program suggests progress is stalled after a promising12 start. NPR's Peter Kenyon reports the news comes as US and Iranian negotiators try to make a headway toward some kinds of agreement. 
The conferential report by the International Atomic Energy Agency appears on an American non-proliferation website. On the positive side the liger it says Iran has completely limited its small sensitive for some material. It stopped pile of 20% enrich uranium and it stopped pile of 5% enrich uranium is being reduced. But the five issues Iran agreed to resolve by August 25, only three have been resolved, and another deadline for proposing new areas for resolution has been missed. The IAEA report comes as US and Iranian negotiators meet in Geneva, try to lay the ground work for the next full round of nuclear talks slated13 for later this month in New York. Motorola is introducing new smartwatch. It says it's hopeful to win over customers used to more traditional looking timepiece. Motorola vice11 president to product management said today the circular watche is designed to appeal to people to "don't want to wear a shrunken-down smartphone on their wrist". Moto 360 smartwatch has all metal primer, uses Google's Android operating system.
