Zhao Chunhua, a 51-year-old vendor¹ of roadside shooting gallery in northern China's Tianjin municipality, has been sentenced to 3.5 years for illegal gun possession.

 

The sentence shocked the public and caused widespread debate about the criteria² for legally defining guns. 

Is the law too loose that law enforcement can be carried out selectively?
