Lesson 3 Key Conversation Long Time No Hear!

Rachael:Hey, long time no hear! How's it going?

Tiffany:Great! Sorry I haven't replied to your message. I know you texted me, like, a week ago, but I've been so busy.

Rachael:Hey, no worries. Just glad the phone tag is over.

Tiffany:I'm so happy you called. It's been way too long! So what have you been up to these days?

Rachael:Just the same old, same old. Work, bars, movies, guys, you know. Oh, did you hear Ken¹ is get

ting married next spring?

Tiffany:Are you serious? I thought they were going to have a big bash down here next spring with everybody.

Rachael:No-don't you ever get on Facebook or Twitter?

Tiffany:No, the boss busted² me at work the other day, and I hate checking them from my phone.

Rachael:Well, anyway, there's that, and I'm seeing someone new!

Tiffany:I knew it. I don't talk to you for a month, and I'm completely out of the loop!

瑞秋：嘿，好久没联系了！怎么样？

蒂芙妮：太好了！对不起，我还没有回复你的留言。我知道你一周前发短信给我，但我一直很忙。

瑞秋：嘿，别担心。很高兴电话留言结束了。

蒂芙尼：我很高兴你打电话来。太久了！你最近在忙什么？

瑞秋：还是老样子，老样子。工作，酒吧，电影，伙计们。哦，你听说肯明年春天要结婚吗？

蒂芙妮：你是认真的吗？我以为他们明年春天会在这里和大家开一个盛大的派对。

瑞秋：不，你从来没有上过脸书或推特吗？

蒂芙尼：不，前几天老板在工作时抓到我了，我讨厌用手机查看。

瑞秋：好吧，不管怎样，就是这样，我又在跟人约会了！

蒂芙妮：我就知道。我有一个月没跟你说话了，我完全不知道该怎么办！
