Lesson 12 Key Conversation¹ A Day to Rest

Mary: Hi, Brad. I don't think I'll be able² to make it in to work today.

Brad: Oh? Why not?

Mary: I feel kind of under the weather today. I think I came³ down with something over the weekend.

Brad: That's too bad. Should I send someone⁴ over to check up on you?

Mary: No, I don't think so. I might⁵ be contagious⁶.

Brad: Good point. Well, we all hope⁷ you feel better soon.

Mary: Yeah, I'm really sorry. I know we have that big project⁸ that is due⁹ tomorrow.

Brad: Don't worry about that. Just stay at home and rest. I'll have Rebecca take care¹⁰ of it.

Mary: Are you sure? I feel really bad for letting the team down.

Brad: Like I said¹¹, take a day to rest. You won't be of any good to us if you're sick.
