 Judy: Lily, I am terrible sorry about this. But we have to put off or cancel tomorrow’s meeting.

    Lily: Cancelled? That’s just can’t happen!

    Judy: Sorry to say, but nothing can be done. The equipment broke down and can’t be fixed¹ till Friday.

    Lily: Oh, I hope it be fixed on Friday.
