文化篇
Read the text carefully and be prepared to answer the question:
Youth Culture
Older people often encounter bias1 against them. America has such a strong youth culture that some men even feel the need to dye their hair when they find a few greys. At the top of the corporate2 ladder, age and experience are still valued. But in many other facets3 of life, older people are unfairly discriminated4 against.
As upsetting as this is, we should not find it surprising. In light of America's relentless5 pursuit of the next new thing, American culture doesn't take the potential contributions of seniors as seriously as cultures that place a higher value on tradition do.
