　　The King Kills a Special Monkey

　　吴王到山上射猴，许多猴子都赶紧躲入深山，只有一只猴子，在树枝上跳来跳去，不怕生人。

　　Once when the king of Wu went into the mountains to hunt monkeys, all the monkeys ran away deeper into the mountains, except one. That monkey stayed up in the tree, jumping and swinging around, not the least bit afraid of people.

　　嘻嘻嘻，射不到！

　　Nyah, nyah. Can't get me!

　　大家一起放箭！

　　Everybody open fire.

　　非要把它射下来不可。

　　We're not leaving till we get it.

　　这猴子虽然灵巧，但是就因为夸耀灵巧，所以伤了性命。

　　This monkey was special, but showing off got

　　it killed.

　　本领不可夸，智慧不可耀。锋芒常常会招来祸害，所以应自晦光芒。

　　Don't boast about your talents and intelligence. A revealing glint can bring harm, so it's best to obscure¹ your brilliance².
