英闻天下——539 Shenzhen School Entrance Rule

 　　Education is one of the biggest concerns of migrant workers, especially in Shenzhen where 3/4 of people do not have local Hukou. In an effort to improve education equality, municipal¹ government tries to break the Hukou barrier by introducing a brand new school entrance qualification rule based on how much contribution a student's parents made to the city.

　　The new policy will rank parents by scoring their different contributions. The higher credits the parents have, the more possible their kids can be enrolled² in local schools.
