My friend Jim called to invite me to his wedding the next Sunday.I was very excited because we had not seen each other for several months.I thought this would be a great chance for us to have a good chat.Besides,I had heard that this girl friend was very beautiful and I couldn't wait to see how beautiful she was.
But unfortunately,I had no proper clothes for the wedding.So the next morning I went to a tailor's and asked the tailor if it would be possible for him to make me a black suit before Saturday.He promised that it would be no problem.He took my measurements and asked me to pick up the suit on Friday afternoon.When I got there on my way home from work on Friday,the tailor said he had not made my suit because he could not find my measurements.I was so angry that I yelled¹¹ at him.He tried to calm me down,saying that he would work all through the night and promised to have it ready by the next noon.I couldn't trust him any more.So I rushed to a shopping mall and bought a readymade one.

In North Ameria tha tailor has almost disappeared.Except for the wealthy,most people select their clothes from the "ready to wear"rack of a clothing store.In China we are lucky that there are still tailors working so we can have "tailor made" or " made to measure"clothing.It is nice to be able to choose one's own material, then discuss the style with the tailor who is measuring you to ensure a good fit.The pleasure of wearing clothing made especially for you gives one great satisfaction.In China it is not too expensive to have your clothing made by hand.
