　　Today's key word is fitting¹ Dinner.

　　Any meal you eat in the middle of the day can be referred² to as dinner.

　　正餐，主餐；晚餐.

　　Here's an example：

　　I'm going to dinner with this girl I have a crush³ on.

　　我要去和我喜欢的女孩吃一起吃晚餐了。

　　Now, let’s learn the word in the news.

　　A recent survey shows that in the first tier cities (一线城市), only less than a half of the people will go home on time for dinner.

　　In Beijing, about 40% of the people will go home for supper. That's the least among all other cities.

　　And people born in the 1970s --- more than 60% of them will go back on time

　　Those born in the 1990s---only 40%.

　　Notes:

　　-最近，中国新闻网的一项调查报告显示，中国人，特别是生活在一线城市的人很少回家吃晚饭。

　　-北上广深四大城市，准时回家(晚上6点-7点)的比例，分别为北京38%、深圳45%，广州44%，上海45%。

　　-其中，北京人下班后不回家的比例最高，而上海准点下班的比例最高。

　　-你会经常回家吃饭吗？不回家的理由是什么呢？

1 fitting   

n.[pl.]设备，家具，配件，试穿；adj.适合的

参考例句：

• I'm going to a fitting tomorrow.明天我要去试穿新衣。
• The President's address was a fitting end to a bitter campaign.总统的讲话为一场激烈的竞选运动适时画上了句号。

2 referred   

vi.(to)涉及，查阅v.提到( refer的过去式和过去分词 )；针对；关系到；请教

3 crush   

v.压垮，压倒，压服，镇压；压碎，碾碎
