He took her out on a date but they didn't really hit it off．【点评】take somebody out on a date这个短语中take somebody out这个短语“把某人带出来”再加上介词短语on a date来表示“某人主动约某人出去过（谈恋爱）”，hit it off 是个精彩的短语了，意思是：一拍即合。

4 没有一个女孩子喜欢跟罗杰约会，因为他是个吝啬鬼。

None of the girls like to go on a date with Roger because he is a cheap skate.

【点评】go on a date with somebody这个短语中的go 加上介词短语on a date表示出“去幽会”“赴约”。A cheap skate这是个精彩的俚语，it means⁵ "somebody is mean".

That's no big thing. None of them would go on a date with me anyway!

【点评】That's no big thing. "No big thing" means " It doesn't matter." 不碍事儿。还可以说“no big deal”.
