它是get a grip。It is an American slang. 它是一个美国街头语。In this phrase, grip means to "control or power over sth". 中文意思是对......的控制力。我们来看2个例句：The home team took a grip on the game. 主队牢牢地控制着比赛的局面。We need to tighten² the grip we have on the market. 我们必须加强对市场的控制力。从以上2个例句可以看出，“对......的控制力”这个名词性短语的表述法是a grip on something，注意介词是on。

注解：On both sides是“双方地”的意思。例句：It will take strong and enduring commitment on both sides. 这需要两国作出强有力且持久的承诺。In fact, compromise will be necessary on both sides. 事实上，双方都需要妥协。Sounds of the war are a daily reality on both sides of a bloody³ conflict. 这些战争的声音反映了每天两边血腥冲突的情景。他还有“两面的”意思，和介词of连用。例如：Please write on both sides of the paper, and don't write in the margin⁴. 请在纸的正反两面书写，但不要写在四周的边上。There I saw a number of trees on both sides of the river. 我看到沿河两岸树木很多。Would you like this copied on both sides of the paper? 您要把这个文件进行双面复印吗？
