 　　要想在GRE考试中获得好的成绩，搞定GRE词汇是第一步，也是最重要的一步。在多年英语教学中，笔者发现很多学生不习惯在没有例句的情况下背单词。于是很多同学就对照着GRE单词书，一个个查单词，看例句。为了节省大家的时间，笔者总结了GRE的重点单词，且每个单词配上丰富例句，供学生们轻松快速准确突破GRE词汇。

　　导言：同学们熟悉这个单词吗?assay¹。如果不注意的话，很容易把这个词当作essay(文章);lobby做动词是“游说”的意思，那它作为名词是什么意思呢?好了，现在就请大家来一起学学这些单词吧!GRE单词语境记忆，让记忆单词快速准确!

2 allay   

v.消除，减轻(恐惧、怀疑等)

参考例句：

• The police tried to allay her fears but failed.警察力图减轻她的恐惧，但是没有收到什么效果。
• They are trying to allay public fears about the spread of the disease.他们正竭力减轻公众对这种疾病传播的恐惧。

3 linguistics   

n.语言学

参考例句：

4 inaccurate   

adj.错误的，不正确的，不准确的

参考例句：

5 gainsay   

v.否认，反驳

参考例句：

6 expertise   

n.专门知识(或技能等)，专长

参考例句：

7 gainsaid

8 theocracy   

n.神权政治；僧侣政治

13 tarnished
