You can’t save everyone. Sometimes because they don’t wanna be saved. Mostly because they are too much of a pain in the ass¹ to bother.

Kids are different. Each kid deserves a shot at being better than they’re destined² to be. Even if they’re whiny³ little brats⁴. Even if they won’t shut up about kiddie stuff that don’t matter.

Especially so if they’re not smart enough to defend themselves from bullies⁵.

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ cost $15 million to make. It made nearly $400 million in box office alone. One would think they could sprinkle a few dollars on the two little slum kids they hired to play the main characters as children.

They’ve not entirely⁶ been abandoned though. Even though one of the two kids still lives in the slums, they both have a trust in their name that they can claim once they reach 18. That’s not so bad. Outta $400 million, I guess. Right?
