3. Authorities say tornados and thunderstorms that swept through the Midwest, overnight killed at least five people in Ohio. They also destroyed 50 homes and damaged a high school gym where graduation was to be held Sunday.

4. Thousands of soccer fans stampeded outside a stadium in South Africa before a World Cup warm-up match. Fifteen people were injured, including a policeman.
