A second man is now in police custody, accused of shooting five people, killing one at an off-campus party near Seton Hall University. US Marshals arrested Marcus Bascus in northeast Pennsylvania. He's charged with murder, conspiracy and weapons charges. Police alleged Bascus and 25-year-old Nicholas Welch tried to enter the party early Saturday morning. They were told they could not come in, and then returned moments later with a gun and started firing. “The shooting apparently ended after he emptied his gun. He fired all five shots from the revolver.” A 19-year-old student was killed in the shooting. “Jessica Ann Moore is a beautiful reflection of self, a beautiful reflection of our family.” Welsh, an unmarried father of two, made his first court appearance Wednesday, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. “Our babe wouldn't know. We don't let him do like that. He's a family guy seriously.” His attorney said his client remains in shock over the whole thing. Bail has been set for two million dollars for both Welsh and Bascus |
