3. Protests in France with police firing tear gas at high school students. This came after students hurled stones and set a car on fire, all during nationwide strikes, protesting change in the retirement age.

4. Actor Tom Bosley has died. He is most remembered for his role as the father on television's long-running "Happy Days". Later, Bosley had roles on "Murder, She Wrote", and as a murder-solving priest on the "Father Dowling Mysteries". Bosley was 83.
