Russia should beef up transport security: Medvedev(在线收听

    MOSCOW, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Russia should adopt tougher security measures(安全措施) to ensure transport safety, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said here on Thursday after he came back from the Davos Forum.
    The president visited Moscow's subway stations with ministers of emergencies, interior, transportation, and several other officials, and examined the subway security system which was created by his order after last year's twin subway blasts.
    The Kremlin press service said Medvedev has ordered ministers to prepare changes to the transport security system.
    In the wake of Monday's airport blast, Medvedev ordered the government "to examine the acting (transport security) legislation ... and to prepare the proposals on ... toughening responsibility(责任,义务), " the Kremlin said.
    According to the Kremlin, Medvedev has also signed several instructions on ensuring transport security, and suggested the introduction of total scanning on passengers and their baggage.
    On Monday, a powerful blast occurred in the arrivals zone of Russia's biggest airport Domodedovo, killing 35 people and leaving over 130 injured.
    About 123 injured people were still hospitalized. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.(本文由在线英语听力整理编辑)
