[00:43.52]There was a rich farmer who owned many fields.
[00:49.08]He also kept ducks and hens.
[00:53.76]They gave him eggs and sometimes he ate one for his dinner.
[01:00.60]One night in winter a fox came to the farm.
[01:07.68]There was snow on the ground,
[01:12.36]and the animal was cold and hungry.
[01:17.22]It killed one of the hens and took it away to eat for its own dinner.
[01:26.28]The next morning the farmer counted his hens.One was missing.
[01:33.83]He saw blood on the ground. 'A fox has been here,' he said.
[01:41.09]'I can catch it if I set a trap for it.'
[01:46.37]He set a trap for the fox and that night the fox came to his farm again.
[01:55.83]Before it could kill another hen,it put its foot in the trap.

[02:07.35]In the morning the farmer found the fox in the trap.
[02:12.99]'If you'll let me go, I'll never your hens again,'the fox said.
[02:19.65]The farmer laughed. 'If I let you go,' he said,'next time you'll steal my ducks.'
