[00:00.00]And increasingly,living in a highly competitive
[00:03.96]technological age,I think it's going to call
[00:05.99]for more and more people working together,
[00:08.68]sharing…so I think the need for the kind of
[00:10.96]skills that we've been talking about will
[00:12.54]actually grow in the future.
[00:14.77]And as well as these practical skills,do you
[00:17.68]try to deal with wider social issues at all?
[00:20.86]I think it's important to deal in school with
[00:24.96]those big issues that society's facing at this
[00:27.61]particular time.
[00:29.00]Drugs and alcohol will be a case,early
[00:32.41]pregnancy would be something,the intolerance
[00:35.30]that exsts in certain sections of our society
[00:37.60]to do with homophobia,racism,sexism,these are
[00:42.13]issues which we in school try to deal with,
[00:45.43]within our overall er active citizenship
[00:49.39]programme within the school.
