1. President Obama is talking about the fallout from the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Obama told "60 Minutes" that bin Laden had some sort of support network inside Pakistan in order to live undetected. He said the US wants to know whether someone inside or outside the Pakistani government knew the al-Qaeda leader was living in the country. 2. The swollen Mississippi River has swamped houses in Memphis and threatens to consume many more. The river's rise has been slow enough that some people have been able to safeguard belongings. The Mississippi is expected to crest tonight or tomorrow. 3. Islamic clerics in Egypt are denouncing attacks on two Cairo churches. Muslim mobs set the churches on fire over the weekend during sectarian clashes that have left 12 dead and more than 200 hurt. Security is now tight at Islamic and Christian centers in the city. 4. And the Perfect Mother's Day gift for a North Carolina woman. Tashara Bonham-White went into labor and before the ambulance could even get to the hospital. She had a new baby girl. Little Kennedy Chenelle is doing just fine. |
