The woman worked for the Schwarzenegger’s for 20 years, retiring in January. only a week ago, Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver announced they had separated after 25 years of marriage.

French is still reeling from news that one of its leading politicians Dominique Strauss-Khan was arrested on charges of rape. No where was that confusion and shock more felt than at the headquarters of Strauss Khan's Socialist political party. After a meeting of party leaders on Tuesday, the chief from the party gave a brief statement to journalists, saying she was shocked and overwhelmed that images of her colleague in handcuffs being escorted by New York police officers, appearing a ring in court. She underscored that in the French judicial system, cameras are not allowed in the courtroom. She emphasized that Strauss-Khan should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

In response to the continued violence, both the United States and the EU have imposed sanctions against senior Syrian officials.
