PARIS, June 6 (Xinhua) -- France's Bordeaux club named Francis Gillot to manage the soccer team for two seasons, replacing the caretaker coach Eric Bedouet, the club president said on Monday. "We chose him (Gilloty) for his coaching quality, his talent and then his sense of humanity. The man has much warmth and serenity," Jean-Louis Triaud said in remarks posted on the club website.
Eric Bedouet had taken charge of the Bordeaux team after Jean Tigana resigned last month.
The 51-year-old Gillot managed Sochaux club for three years. His new mission consists in improving the results of Bordeaux team, which won the country's top championship in 2009.
