Hello, Emma Clarke with the national weather. Thick cloud streaming across WA is causing rain to spread further inland, while patchy cloud over South Australia is only bringing the odd shower. Cloud over the east coast is also generating some rainfall, mainly over northern New South Wales. In the coming days, fresh south-easterly winds will maintain showers over the east coast, while a trough and front would generate widespread rain across WA. Isolated showers are forecast for Queensland southern coast and northern inland, for the rest of the state will be mostly fine. New South Wales can expect showers on the coast and the ranges mainly in central parts. It should be mostly sunny elsewhere. Victoria is in for a fine and mostly sunny day with cool northerly winds. A mild and partly cloudy day is forecast for Tasmania, cool northerlies are expected there too. South Australia can expect to see increasing cloud and mild northerly winds freshening throughout the day. A few scattered showers could develop late in the west. A wet and windy day is on the way for WA. Rain is forecast for the west and south, the coming heavy north of Perth. It should be fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. The northern territory is in for a fine and sunny day with warmer easterly winds. Looking ahead now. Sydney, Adelaide and Perth can expect a shower or two, but the other major centers will be fine. |
