Hello, Kathryn Stolarchuk with the National Weather. A cold front crossing southwest WA is causing a few showers near the coast, these storms over WA's interior and South Australia thanks to some cloud. And cloud over inland, New South Wales and southern Queensland is also causing storms. 18” In Queensland, there will be a few showers along the east coast and islands, moving a little inland in the afternoon. And there’s thundery rain ahead for the southeast corner. Storms are expected along the east New South Wales most likely in the afternoon above the coast and ranges. Eastern Victoria is in for some early frost and fog and a chance of rain a little later in the day. A few storms are expected above the eastern ranges. Tasmania will be fine apart from some early fog patches inland. This is a strong wind warning for much of South Australia's coast, storms and rain in the west will extend to the east in the afternoon. What conditions are expected in southern parts of Western Australia, mostly above the coast, but rain above the west coast should clear above the afternoon. And in the northern territory, there'll be one or two showers above the north and west coast. Looking ahead to Monday now, and it will be a stormy start to the week for Adelaide. There’ll be rain in Melbourne, Hobart, Darwin and Perth and it will be warm and cloudy in Brisbane and Sydney. |
