Thick cloud over the Northern Territory and the Kimberley region of Western Australia as ex-tropical Cyclone Carlos brings heavy showers and thunder. Another trough over WA is causing scattered severe storms. Moving around the states now, in Queensland, scattered showers and thunderstorms over the northwestern and southwestern parts. Mostly fine in the southeast with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over the rest of the state. In New South Wales, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the central and northern districts. Scattered showers on the south coast, fine in the southwest. Isolated showers for Victoria, a partly cloudy day with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds. Weather warnings are in place for Tasmania, felt for a minor floods in the northern half of the state and strong winds around coastal waters.
In South Australia, isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the lower southeast of the state, isolated showers and thunderstorms in the north. Tropical cyclones Dianne and Carlos hover around the northern half of WA. A severe thunderstorm warning is also in place for the state with possible hail and flash flooding. Flood warnings for the Gascoyne, Greenough and Murchison River Catchments.
And in the Northern Territory, scattered showers and storms, heavy falls mainly to widespread flooding in the Darwin-Daly and northwest Victoria River districts. |
