Cloud over north-eastern Queensland in a trough is triggering showers and storms. Thick cloud across the northern tropics is also causing a few storms. Around the states now, and in Queensland, moderate to heavy falls will develop later in the day around the north-east coast and ranges; scattered showers for the rest of the coast.
For New South Wales, there’s a chance of showers on the northern and central parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, more likely on the northern coast; mostly sunny elsewhere.
A fine day in Victoria, apart from some morning fog. There’ll be light northerly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.
Mostly fine day too for Tasmania after a cold start there with some patchy drizzle about the south-west.
And the fine weather continues in South Australia. It’ll be a cool morning with some fog patches, but mostly clear and dry across the state.
In the west, expect the odd shower and storm for the Kimberley. Dry and hot elsewhere.
Isolated afternoon showers and storms over the northern Top End today. Fine and mostly sunny in the south of the state.
And looking ahead to tomorrow now: showers for Brisbane and Sydney, partly cloudy in Canberra, mostly sunny for Melbourne, fine for Hobart, Adelaide and Perth, and showers and possible storm for Darwin. |
