2. President Barack Obama is taking aim at the nation's income disparities. He declared that the middle class faces a "make or break" moment. Obama invoked big themes of economic fairness, similar to ones delivered by President Theodore Roosevelt in the same rural Kansas town.

 

 

 

3. Police and demonstrators have been clashed in Moscow and at least two other Russian cities for a second night. It comes among increasing anger over alleged vote fraud. Protesters are targeting prime minister Vladimir Putin and his ruling party. It lost a large share of its seats in Sunday's election, but still maintained the majority.
