2. A University of Maryland honors student faces one misdemeanor charge for allegedly threatening to go on a campus shooting rampage. Campus police say they found no weapons in searches of Alexander Song's dorm room and his parents' home.
 
 
 
3. Taliban militants attacked an Afghan government delegation in southern Afghanistan today, killing an Afghan soldier. The delegation was visiting one of the villages where a US soldier is suspected of killing 16 civilians. 
 
 
 
4. And British police arrested six people today in connection with the media phone hacking scandal. All of the arrests were in London. The investigation stems from phone hacking by British tabloids.
