1. The lawyer for a US Army sergeant suspected of killing 16 Afghan villagers says he's flying to Fort Leavenworth to meet with his client. John Henry Browne says he plans to meet with Robert Bales Monday. Bales hasn't been charged yet. 2. An Occupy Wall Street protester says police gave demonstrators little warning before kicking them out of a New York City park overnight. The protester says officers beat several of them during the arrests. Police say 73 people were detained.
3. Five teens were shot Saturday night in a crowded area of downtown Indianapolis. Two were critically wounded. There have been no arrests.
4. And South America's largest lake is inches away from reaching its highest point ever. The water level of Lake Titicaca, bordering Peru and Bolivia, threatens farmers. |
