Flamengo earns draw in first match without Ronaldinho(在线收听) |
RIO DE JANEIRO, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Vagner Love scored an injury-time equalizer on Wednesday as Flamengo earned a 2-2 away draw against Ponte Preta in Brazil's Serie A championship. Playing in its first match since Ronaldinho quit and sued the club for unpaid wages last week, Flamengo looked hopelessly disorganized and short of inspiration.
Ponte Preta's Rene Junior opened the scoring in the 15th minute at the Moises Lucarelli stadium before Renato Abreu equalized with a curling 30m freekick.
Joao Paulo made it 2-1 five minutes into the second half and the game looked to be out of reach for Flamengo before Love headed in Bottinellli's cross in the final minute of injury time.
The result leaves Flamengo in 11th place with three draws from its first three matches.
Meanwhile Alecsandro scored on either side of the break as Vasco da Gama defeated Nautico 4-2 while Fluminense's Carlinhos cancelled out a Wason Renteria opener to earn the Rio club a 1-1 away draw against Santos. |
