Let's take a look at the satellite. A trough and northeasterly winds are affecting Queensland and northern New South Wales. A low pressure system is creating showers over southeastern Australia. And a high pressure ridge is keeping skies mostly clear in the west.
In Queensland, there'll be rain and storms across the state's west and south. Showers also in the east, clearing over the far south and far west.
New South Wales can expect cold westerly winds. Light rain over the state's northeast is clearing. Showers expected inland, mainly south. And there'll be snow on the Alps.
In Victoria, it will be windy and cold with showers mainly inland. Some small hail about. And snow on the Alps.
Tasmania can expect a windy cold day with showers mainly north and west. And snow developing on the highlands.
In South Australia, it will be clear in the north but showers in the south, mainly around the coast and hills.
In Western Australia, light showers are persisting about the Southwest Capes. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
In the Top End, cloud and patchy light rain over the interior is clearing.
Looking ahead to tomorrow. And rain clearing in Brisbane and Canberra. Sunny in Sydney and Darwin. A possible shower in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Windy in Hobart. |
