 BERLIN, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- German record champions Bayern Munich wrapped up a 4-1 win over Bate Borisov to ensure top position in group F at Champions League on Wednesday.

The Bavarians took immediately over after the kickoff but they were unable to overcome deep defending Bate Barisov.
The passiveness by Barisov was a risky game on Bayern's home soil, as Mario Gomez broke the deadlock when he utilized a low cross by Xherdan Shaqiri at the 22nd minute.

The German giants were not done with the scoring as David Alaba netted his first ever Champions League goal to make it 4-0 on the scoreboards with seven minutes left.
Finally, Bate Borisov were able to score the consolation in the dying minutes of the match when Yegor Filipenko overcame Manuel Neuer.
Bayern finished the group stage on top followed by Valencia, Borisov and Lille.
"I think we can be content. The formation has never played together," Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes said.
